The former “Prince of Asia” Jang Geun-suk is set to return to the small screen with a new drama.
On 10 March, it was revealed that the actor is currently reviewing the offer for a lead role in “Hyupban” (working title), marking his return to the small screen after a three-year hiatus and the beginning of his full-fledged career.
“Hyupban” is a heartwarming drama that tells the story of a college student, who rescues a gangster and hides him in her place, and who then discovers that he has a talent for cooking.

It is based on a popular Japanese novel and will be directed by Lee Min-woo, who has directed “Boys Over Flowers”.
The drama will be Jang’s first project since joining hands with VAST Entertainment to focus on his acting career. It is also his first comeback project in approximately three years, following the 2023 drama “Decoy”.
The project is scheduled to start filming in the first half of 2026.
