It was revealed that BTS’s comeback concert in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG”, has ranked first on Netflix in 77 countries.
According to FlixPatrol, a global online video service (OTT) ranking aggregation site, the livestreamed concert took first place in the Netflix movie category. It dominated the charts in as many as 77 out of the 93 countries included in the aggregate, including South Korea, the United States, Australia, Austria, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia.
It also entered the top 3 in all other countries, demonstrating its global popularity.
However, this figure does not include the number of viewers at the time of the live broadcast; it is the result of calculating only the number of views of the recorded video the day after the performance. Netflix is expected to release the live broadcast viewership figures sometime this week.
BTS released their fifth studio album, “ARIRANG,” on 20 March. This marks their first full-group release in three years and nine months since the anthology album “Proof,” released in June 2022.
On 21 March, the members performed at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, unveiling new songs including the title track “Swim” for the first time.
