ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon recently admitted that carrying the Olympic torch in Italy was a wonderful experience that has now reignited his passion for sports.
On 10 February, his agency Belift Lab announced that the singer has completed his official schedule as the Korean Sports Council’s public relations ambassador for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics.
In a statement shared by his agency, Sunghoon expressed, “I never imagined that I would be standing in the Olympics again, which was my first dream as a child, in a different form.”
“It was a precious experience that I will remember for the rest of my life, as it brought back the passion and memories I felt as an athlete through the torch relay and watching the games,” he added.
On 5 February, the singer completed the Olympic torch relay, and received an official invitation from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to walk the red carpet at the opening ceremony.
It is noted that Sunghoon competed as a figure skater from 2010 to early 2020 while simultaneously being a K-pop trainee since 2018. He competed in several competitions, winning multiple medals including novice gold of Lombardia Trophy.
