The team of the new drama, “My Page in the 90s” has recently revealed that they have already let go of the individuals involved in smearing Wang Yuwen’s good name that led to her studio halting all promotional activities involving the actress.
The issue sparked recently, after Wang’s studio released a statement on social media saying that they are stopping all promotions for the drama due to the unprofessionalism shown by members of the drama’s publicity team.
The studio stated, “The publicity team we’ve been working with has repeatedly demonstrated an unprofessional and careless attitude, and their behaviour has seriously exceeded the scope of reasonable cooperation: maliciously spreading rumours about the artiste without basis and attempting to sow discord between us and our partner platforms.”

In response to that, the production company has now released an apology to the actress, saying, “Ms. Wang Yuwen has always dedicated herself to the filming of the drama with a professional attitude, and her team has consistently cooperated actively in various promotional activities, providing much support and assistance for the drama’s publicity. We are deeply grateful for this.”
“Regarding the inappropriate behaviour of the publicity team mentioned in the statement, we take it very seriously and feel deeply ashamed. It was our fault for poor selection and management,” it added.
The drama team also stated that after preliminary investigation, they found the allegations against the individuals made by Wang’s studio were valid.
“The individuals involved have been dismissed, and the publicity team has ceased cooperation. Further investigation will be conducted to determine their responsibilities based on the investigation results. Simultaneously, we will streamline our publicity and distribution processes to ensure all subsequent work is carried out rigorously and compliantly. We once again thank Ms. Wang Yuwen and her team for their support and assistance,” they added.
