The iQIYI Starship 2025 Malaysia event wrapped up with overwhelming success in Kuala Lumpur, where iQIYI International Global Ambassador Chen Zheyuan delivered a powerful presence that captivated media and fans alike.
Making his first Malaysian appearance as the iQIYI International Global Ambassador, Chen Zheyuan shared that he was moved by the warm welcome he received upon arrival.
“I was exhausted when I landed, but seeing everyone’s energy instantly made everything worthwhile,” he said.

During the press conference, Chen discussed his ambassadorial role, noting his wish to introduce Chinese culture to global audiences through quality storytelling.
“The beauty of watching dramas lies in discovering the stories and cultures of different places. That diversity is what attracts viewers from around the world,” he explained.
He also revealed that this was why he chose to become an actor. “Acting allows me to live different lives through each role. I’m very careful when selecting scripts. I need to be moved first, so I can pass that sincerity to the audience.”
When speaking about his role in “Fated Hearts”, Chen said he grew alongside his character; from a bright, carefree youth to a sharp, decisive prince.
“I give my all to every role, hoping my performance can touch people’s hearts.”

Selangor Princess Tengku Zatashah also graced the event to present Chen with a gift.
She playfully asked him which Malaysian food he wished to bring home, and he chose “Cham”, saying, “It looks delicious, and its name sounds like my English name, Chen!”
Chen also fulfilled audience requests, read heartfelt letters, and joined Malaysian artistes and influencers including Layla, KoeYeet, Alex, and Ashh Ahmad for a series of stage games. After losing several rounds, he cheerfully completed his playful penalties, striking a set of adorable triple poses that sent the crowd screaming.
Before stepping offstage, he delighted audiences by saying. “Jom Mamak!”
