Zhang Liang (aka Sean Zhang) has recently issued a formal statement slamming a report regarding his son, Zhang Yuexuan.
As reported on Sina, on 26 November, amid rumours that his son had supposedly impregnated a classmate abroad, the actor’s studio released a denial of the rumour, stating that it was false and had seriously damaged the father and son’s reputations.
“We strongly condemn all acts of defamation and malicious dissemination targeting Mr. Zhang Liang and Mr. Zhang Yuexuan. We hereby warn all parties who have published or reposted relevant infringing content to immediately delete all infringing information to prevent further harm. Mr. Zhang Liang has already reported the matter to the public security authorities,” the studio stated.
They added that they have also entrusted lawyers to conduct comprehensive evidence collection on all suspected infringing content, and will pursue legal action against those who disseminate such false allegations.
Zhang himself posted on social media, “A police report has been filed! The internet is not a lawless zone, please do not spread rumours without any limits!!!”
Previously, a gossip blogger claimed that Zhang’s son, known to the public as Tian Tian, was sent to study abroad due to his unruly behaviour, only for him to get a female classmate pregnant.
The blogger claimed that the female student’s parents have reported the incident to the police and have joined forces with paparazzi to create a media frenzy.
