William So’s wife Anita Fung couldn’t help but be amused at a recent rumour about her husband that she took to social media to laugh about it.

The whole thing started with a Hong Kong tabloid publishing an article claiming that William has been having a secret rendezvous with a young woman. The report claimed that the publication had received a reader’s tip-off along with photos alleging that he was secretly meeting a woman behind his wife’s back.

In the photos, a man resembling William was seen chatting by the seaside with a woman in her twenties, described as a “younger version of Stephy Tang”. During their conversation, the two were reportedly holding hands, and the man was seen gently patting the woman’s back.

However, the article was removed soon after for unknown reason. However, netizens who saw the photos prior to it being taken down noticed that the photos seemed old and that William even had a different haircut.

Soon after, Anita spoke up about the so-called “secret rendezvous” on Instagram Story, sharing a photo of her and William and wrote, “Woke up early and found an interesting ‘archaeological’ report. The reporters are so great, they managed to dig up ‘historic relics’ from before our marriage!”

She also responded to everybody, saying “In 2014, I wasn’t officially “Mrs. So” yet, so this is a little episode from Mr. So’s pre-marriage days.”

She then added jokingly, “Honey, looks like your charm back then was irresistible. But in the end, I still got you.”
