Renata Tan Lina recently announced that she is now married and pregnant with her first child.
Sharing the good news to her 5.1 million followers on Weibo, the singer shared her marriage registration photos and wrote, “The male protagonist in my story has appeared. Now I am both a wife and a daughter. Double happiness has come, from ‘I’ to ‘we’.”
It was reported that Renata and husband Liu Zhengfei’s wedding was quietly held on 7 October in the city of Jiamusi in Heilongjiang. Reportedly, no celebrity guests were invited.
Renata later explained in a follow-up video that the delayed announcement was due to traditional customs of keeping early pregnancy private.
She added that “finding happiness isn’t easy,” and revealed that her husband’s thoughtful care during her pregnancy convinced her that “love is most touching in the details.”
