Lee Si-young has given birth to her second child.
The “Killer Toon” actress shared the good news on social media with multiple photos of her baby on Instagram on 5 November, writing, “I believe you are a gift that God has given to me. I’ll make sure that Jung-yoon and Ssik Ssik live happily for the rest of their lives.”
Ssik Ssik is the nickname that she has given to her newborn.
Her agency, Ace Factory, also stated, “Lee Si-young recently gave birth to a daughter,” and added, “Both mother and child are resting. Lee Si-young plans to resume her activities after recovering from her illness.”
Lee tied the knot with her businessman husband Cho Seung-hyun in September 2017. Their first son was born in January the following year. However, the two ended their marriage in March this year.
In July, Lee revealed that she is pregnant with her second child which she conceived through IVF using embryos frozen during her marriage.
She said, “I decided to undergo a transplant as the cryopreserved embryos, conceived through in vitro fertilization during our marriage, were nearing their expiration date. My partner didn’t agree, but I will fully embrace the weight of my decision.”
