A Japanese woman has been indicted after forcefully kissing BTS member Jin without his consent.
The woman, who is in her 50s, was reported to have forced herself on him during a fan event held in June 2024 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium, where the singer met with about 1,000 fans following his discharge from military service.
Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office announced on 17 November that it had indicted the woman without detention on 12 November on charges of indecent assault.
The Songpa Police Department initially booked the woman and requested her presence, but decided to suspend the investigation in March.
She later voluntarily appeared before the police for questioning, and the Songpa Police Department determined that the charges were justified and forwarded her to the prosecution.
