Benz Hui’s family has recently released a statement following news of his passing, stating that a memorial service will be held for the TVB icon on 17 November.
In an obituary released by the family, it stated that the funeral arrangements will be held by Benz’s widow, Lung Yin-yi and all the descendants of the Hui family.
The memorial service will be held at 4.00 PM on Monday, 17 November 2025, at the Po Fook Memorial Hall on the ground floor of the Tai Wai Po Fook Memorial Hall. The encoffining ceremony will be held at 11.00 AM on Tuesday, 18 November 2025. The funeral procession will begin at 12.00 PM, to be followed by the cremation of the coffin.
“[Benz Hui] was a generous and magnanimous man, known for his kindness and generosity, which earned him a wide circle of friends and a stellar reputation. He was deeply respected by his relatives and friends. Although we, his family and friends, are deeply saddened by his passing, remember his wishes that we cherish the memories of the past and the warm times we spent together. Today, with peaceful hearts, we offer our final respects to our late husband,” the family added.
They also said that in keeping with Benz’s wishes, the family will keep the funeral simple and will donate all proceeds from the funeral donations to the Children’s Cancer Foundation.
“We hope to transform our grief into compassion, continue his benevolent spirit, and ignite new hope for young lives. We kindly request that relatives and friends donate money instead of sending flower wreaths,” they added.
