Mao Xiaotong has recently dismissed rumours that she will soon marry divorced actor Chen Xiao.
The whole rumour started after a blind item claimed that a couple of “top-tier” and “second-tier” actors are getting married and that it will not be the first marriage for one of them.
Since both Chen and Mao have worked together in “The Ingenious One” and “The Return of Condor Heroes” (which also stars Chen’s ex-wife Michelle Chen), many speculated that the two might be the actors in question.
It also has sparked new unconfirmed rumours, including one that alleged that the two have obtained a marriage certificate. Others claimed that the divorce rumour between Chen and his actress wife started while he was working on “The Ingenious One”.
In response to this, Mao’s studio reposted the said rumour with a huge “FAKE” imposed on top of it and wrote, “False. Ms. Mao Xiaotong is unmarried and single. They are not in a relationship and have never been in a relationship.”
