I-dle member Minnie is set to star in the Thai remake of the hit Hollywood movie, “50 First Dates”.
The news was confirmed by her agency, Cube Entertainment on 12 August, stating that the singer will be playing the Thai version of the role of Lucy Whitmore, played by Drew Barrymore in the original 2004 film.
“With her first lead role in the Thai remake of ’50 First Dates,’ Minnie is expected to show off her upgraded, bright and adorable charms,” said the agency’s rep.

Minnie, real name Nicha Yontararak, will be working alongside actor-model, Nadech Kugimiya, who will play the male lead, that was portrayed by Adam Sandler in the original.
This will be her first movie, after making her acting debut in 2021 with Netflix’s “So Not Worth It”.
The original movie revolves around Henry, who falls in love with an amazing woman named Lucy, only to find out that she suffers from anterograde amnesia due to a car crash, which allows her only to remember everything up until the night before the crash.
