Even though she will be flying off to the United States to begin her studies soon, Chantel Yiu stated that she will continue to work during her breaks.
The singer, who spoke to the media for the first time since announcing she will be studying at the prestigious New York University, said that she will be back during the long break in December to work on the show and her music as well, including filming, “Come Home Love: Lo and Behold”.
Asked if she is worried that her absence will affect her career, Chantel said, “No, I’m not worried. My fans and everyone really care about me and keep an eye on my every move. Although I’m not in Hong Kong, I can record music there.”
Chantel admitted that it would be tough, but that she doesn’t want to give up either.
On the other hand, when asked what her course Music Business entails, she responded that the programme covers music theory, production, and arranging.
“I believe that being an artiste these days requires more than just singing; it also requires keeping up with trends and catering to market needs,” she added.
