Actor Park Bo-gum has been appointed the 2025 Honorary Ambassador for Korean Tourism.

According to JoongAng ENews, the news was announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), saying that Park will be officially appointed on 29 July.

As ambassador, Park will introduce Korean tourism through two promotional videos; one in short film format and another as a music video, as well as a special behind-the-scenes clip.

Notably, Park also sings the theme song of the music video, titled “On My Way”. A teaser for the video was released on the Imagine Your Korea YouTube channel.

A ministry official stated, “More than 85 percent of this year’s overseas campaign footage was shot outside of Seoul. We aim to revitalise regional tourism by introducing lesser-known travel destinations to international visitors.”

The MCST and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) have also partnered with Netflix, producing promotional videos that incorporate popular Korean shows such as “Squid Game” and “All of Us Are Dead”.

These videos will be displayed on landmark billboards in 16 major cities, including New York Times Square, Tokyo, Beijing, and Bangkok, until November. They will also be distributed in over 20 countries through platforms such as YouTube and Netflix.
