Following RM and V’s return to civilian life on 10 June, it was Jungkook and Jimin’s turn to come home after more than a year of military service.
On 11 June, the two performers gave a salute as they departed from their base in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi, with Jungkook telling the waiting fans, “It feels so awkward for us to be here in front of everyone. It’s been so long since we’ve stood in front of a camera, and we’re not even wearing makeup.”
He also thanked everyone at his camp for taking such good care of him throughout his military service.
Jimin also thanked the fans, called the ARMY, for their support, adding, “It’s been such a long time, the Covid-19 pandemic and our military duties, but thank you for sticking through all that for us.”
“We’re being discharged today, so we can continue painting the pictures that we’ve been painting so far. We’ll prepare something even better and show it to everyone,” he added.
Jungkook and Jimin will be joining the four already-discharged members; Jin, J-Hope, RM and V. Meanwhile, the remaining member Suga will complete his duty on 21 June.
