It doesn’t matter if she has to travel seven hours back and forth to Guangzhou to perform with Fiona Sit, Sammi Cheng will always be there for her junior.
The Cantopop queen recently made an appearance as a guest performer at the singer’s concert, where they performed the song “Lifelong Beauty” together. Sammi even helped wipe Fiona’s tears silently when the singer was unable to stop crying while performing.
Speaking to the fans, Sammi expressed, “A few months ago, [Fiona] asked me if I could be a guest at the concert. I was very touched at that time because she sent me a text message with a thousand words. You know it’s a long drive here. I have already arranged my own concerts, but I received this thousand-word invitation letter from her. I was very touched. No matter what, I must come to support you in person because I am very happy for you.”
“You have done a great job in the past few years. You said that this concert is a very big milestone in your career. This is the first concert of your first stop of the tour, so I must take this ride and come to the most beautiful place to congratulate you,” she expressed.
Fiona also thanked Sammi for her appearance on social media, writing, “I love you so much. Thank you for bringing so much love to me and my concert. When I saw you coming up, I thought to myself, ‘An angel is coming up,’ and I was so happy I could fly. I thought to myself again, ‘An angel is coming up!’”
“And then, last night, you were glowing so brightly. I kept looking into your eyes while I sang, because I really wanted to tell you, ‘I love you.’ I’m so, so grateful. You are light, and last night I was a happy little Fifi because of you,” she added.
