It seems that Ryoko Hirosue could not escape controversies, as it was revealed that she has been arrested on charges of assaulting and injuring a nurse.
Ryoko was reportedly transported to the hospital a few hours prior on 7 April after her car rear-ended a large trailer on the Shin-Tomei Expressway in Kakegawa City. The Japanese actress allegedly assaulted a 37-year-old nurse at a hospital in Shimada, Shizuoka Prefecture by kicking her and scratching her arms around 12:20 AM.
Both she and the man with her, believed to be her manager, were not seriously injured.
According to a Kakegawa police station official, the nurse followed Ryoko, who was walking around the hospital while waiting for treatment, whereupon the actor assaulted her, The Japan News reported.
Meanwhile, her agency had since issued a statement, saying, “Hirosue Ryoko was involved in a traffic accident while driving a vehicle in Shizuoka Prefecture. She was rushed to the hospital and went panic, resulting in injuries to medical personnel. We deeply apologise for the great trouble and concern caused to the victims and related persons.”
They also stated that the actress will be suspending her activities for the time being.
