Angered by a recent exposé about the sanitary napkin industry, Huang Zitao recently declared that he is planning to get himself involved in the business.
The whole inspiration came following China’s national broadcaster CCTV’s recent reporting about a practice by manufacturers, where they repackaged and resold flawed sanitary napkins from well-known brands as a new product.
Expressing his thoughts on the subject recently during a livestream, Tao stated that he can’t stand to see such a disgusting practice, adding that these manufacturers can all “go to hell”.
Tao said that the issue has sparked inspiration for him to go into the business and build a transparent company where everybody can see the manufacturing process 24 hours a day.
“This is what I want to do for you. I hope that everyone will give us some time,” he expressed.
Tao, who came from a wealthy business family, also said that his wife Xu Yiyang has tried many samples and that while he can’t guarantee that there will be no defects, the quality will be great and safe.
