Edward Chui recently admitted that he is indeed getting to know TVB actress Elaine Yiu, after the latter confessed to the media that there is room for development between them.
Speaking to reporters at the Hong Kong Film Workers Association Spring Festival Gala on 22 March, the actor shyly expressed, “We are friends who understand each other. We have meals together, which is a normal social interaction. It gives us some space to get to know each other better.”
When it was mentioned that Elaine praised him as a good guy, Edward responded that the actress is also a good person whom he admires very much.
“We met when we were filming ‘Justice Sung Begins’ in Hengdian, and we got along very well! Everyone is very nice, and we occasionally meet up as a group for dinner,” he said.
Asked if they would become a couple, Edward, who is the son of actor Norman Chui, said that the two have already gone beyond friendship, and they are trying to figure out what they are missing in order to take the next step.
“I hope everybody will give me advice on how to woo girls. I am not very good in that area,” he admitted.
As for Elaine being very generous in speaking about their relationship, he said, “She has always been very generous. I also look forward to further development.”
