Psy is now a proud holder of an honorary diploma from Yonsei University.
In a press release to the media, the university stated that they acknowledged Psy’s contributions in elevating Yonsei’s reputation through his outstanding artistic and social endeavours.
“We highly appreciated that Psy has promoted Yonsei’s name worldwide beyond Korea and continued exemplary activities in culture, arts and social contribution, and awarded an honorary diploma.”
The rapper, real name Park Jae-sang, attended the ceremony held at the Sinchon Campus in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul on the morning of 24 February.
It is noted that the “Gangnam Style” singer was also appointed as a special professor at the Yonsei University College of Arts in 2023.
