Song Jae-rim’s final film, “Crypto Man” has recently released its official poster, and revealed its January release date.

The film, which is based on the true story of the cryptocurrency crash, had Song play the role of Yang Do-hyun, a developer of a virtual currency named MOMMY and a self-proclaimed business genius.

Since it is based on a true story of which the judiciary has yet to make a final judgment, the film received thorough preliminary investigation and detailed review and legal advice based on past legal cases.

Its director Hyun Hae-ri, who directed “Nine Times Fired” that received rave reviews at the Cannes International Drama Festival, stated, “I will present this movie in a way that is as realistic as possible while also incorporating elements of dark comedy.”

The film will hit theatres on 15 January.

Song Jae-rim was found dead at his home in Seongdong District, Seoul, with police stating that there was no evidence of foul play in his passing. He was 39.
