Model Moon Ga-bi has decided to go on social media to clarify the situation between her and actor Jung Woo-sung, following various speculations about her and the actor since his admission to be the father of her child.
On 29 December, the model posted a black and white photo of her reading a book with her child on her lap, saying that her decision to address the issue was a way to protect her child after so many false reports about her, including her supposedly forcing Jung to marry her due to the pregnancy.
“The story about me and that person has been completely distorted in these articles that were written without even the slightest consideration for me or my child, and were full of speculations. The reason I kept silent even when everyone was gossiping and pointing fingers at me was not because I acknowledged all the speculations, but simply to protect my child and the father of my child,” she wrote.
Moon stated that she and Jung had been dating since they met at a gathering in 2022, and that the relationship ended in late 2023. She had not meet up with Jung since then and had never asked him to marry her because of her pregnancy.
She stated that it was their choice as parents, and that it is wrong to say that her child was a result of a mistake.
“I think that my clumsiness and lack of preparation as a mother were my shortcomings, not my mistakes or faults. This child is not a mistake or the result of a mistake. I’m not trying to be praised for the natural task of protecting and taking responsibility for a precious life, nor am I trying to be criticised. It’s just the heart of a mother who hopes that the world will bless the birth of her child. I sincerely hope that no more groundless speculations or false facts will be spread about me and my child,” she added.
