IU and Byeon Woo-seok are going to star in a new drama together.
On 2 December, IU’s representation, Kakao Entertainment announced that the two stars will lead the MBC series, “The 21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife” (working title), a romance drama set in an alternate version of Korea.
In the drama, which sees Korea as a country with a constitutional monarchy, IU plays Sung Hee-jo, an heiress who has everything but the title of royalty, while Byeon plays a prince named Lee Ahn who has nothing except the latter due to him being the second son.
However, life begins to change for Prince Lee Ahn after he meets Hee-joo.
The series is scheduled for 2025 airing.
