After that short announcement in his previous YouTube video about opening up a restaurant in Malaysia, it was revealed that Nigel Ng (aka Uncle Roger) is doing just that, in Kuala Lumpur that is.
The news was confirmed by KL Foodie last week, with photos of the restaurant under construction in Pavilion KL.
Outside the place, the words “Haiyaa… Good things take time. Wait long long” and “Coming September 2024” can be seen written across the unit painted Uncle Roger’s trademark orange.
The restaurant also revealed that they are looking to hire more people for various positions including floor manager, waiters and waitresses, as well as commis chef.
The post read, “Uncle Roger’s First Restaurant in Malaysia is opening soon. Famous comedian Uncle Roger will be opening his first restaurant in Pavilion Elite KL in September 2024! Maybe this time we’ll get to try Uncle Roger’s fried rice instead.”
The post also tagged the Instagram handle “Fuiyoh It’s Uncle Roger”, which seemed to be the name of the upcoming eatery.
