Hong Kong pop music icon Sam Hui will be returning to Malaysia for his upcoming concert, “Play Hard Sing Hard”.
The veteran singer will be performing at Genting’s Arena of Stars on 28 September, which marks his return after a year since his last performance.
Sam will bring many classic songs, including “Genius & Idiot”, “Half a Catty, Eight Taels” and “Prodigal Voice”. These songs are not only the companions of many music fans in their youth, but also the shining treasures in the history of Cantonese music.
Since the 1970s, Sam has been universally recognised as a mainstay of Hong Kong pop music. His music style not only covers rock, folk and pop elements, but more importantly, his rich themes show his keen insight into social reality, deep thinking about life, and respect and love for culture.
