Roger Kwok has dismissed the notion that he was not a good husband to then wife Cindy Au, following the actress’ previous interview.
As reported on Mingpao, the backlash against Roger sparked after Cindy opened up about her past health condition in a previous interview, saying that she experienced fever, breathing difficulties and incontinence but wasn’t taken to a hospital right away.
She then stated that after passing out, she woke up to see that her head was still in the spittoon that Roger handed to her, which sparked a huge debate among netizens regarding the actor’s behaviour as a husband.
When asked about the issue recently, the actor stated that he didn’t want to talk about things that weren’t true.
“The only thing that is true is that there is no spittoon in the room because it’s a suite,” he said.
When asked if he has ever confronted Cindy about the interview, Roger said that he hadn’t done that as they have gone their separate ways since their divorce.
“It’s difficult to control what others say. I am used to not responding in a high-profile manner when it comes to showbiz,” he said.
When asked if that meant that Cindy had lied, he responded, “You ask her yourself.”
As to whether he will find love again now that he is single, Roger said that he believes in fate, adding, “We must always move forward and anything can happen.”
