Eric Tsang recently revealed that he will be travelling to Malaysia again in August to shoot an upcoming Lunar New Year movie.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the filmmaker-turned-TVB Executive shared the news recently when he came to the country to promote the new season of TVB’s “Midlife, Sing & Shine!”.

“I will be coming here again next month to shoot a Lunar New Year movie with Alex Lam,” he said, adding that he plans to meet up with old friends as well while in Malaysia.

When asked if his upcoming CNY movie will compete with Anita Yuen’s comeback movie, “Mom’s Big News”, Eric laughed and said, “It has always been a competition. Our Lunar New Year movies have always been competitive. It’s what makes the Lunar New Year even livelier!”

Meanwhile, speaking about the TVB show, Eric said, “I think it is a programme that can help middle-aged people very well. Many people feel that they will not have the opportunity to sing after the age of 30. This is to create another dream for them. When they were young, they were busy with work and had many things to do, but now that the situation is relatively okay at this age, they can participate. It is a great satisfaction for us to let them find their dreams again.”
