Andy Lau recently apologised to his fans after nearly getting injured while on his tour in China.
The singer, who recently performed in Shanghai as part of his “Today…is the Day” tour, nearly got into an accident twice during the concert due to not being very familiar with the stage mechanism.
He first almost slipped off a high platform during one performance after running and sliding to the edge of the said platform, not knowing how slippery it was, and once again soon after.
Speaking to his fans during the next show on 6 July, Andy apologised and admitted that he did a very dangerous move the night before.
“I didn’t expect it to be so slippery. I was so afraid that I would fall down and die. So, today I want to say sorry to everyone. I really didn’t expect it. I hope everyone can understand,” he expressed.
Meanwhile, fans have now urged Andy to forgo the sliding part of the performance, with one netizen saying, “His fans know he works hard, but we just want him to be safe.”
“The slide is really dangerous. There is no safety measure for such a high distance. It’s dangerous for a teenager, let alone a 60-year-old performer,” another stated.
