Anthony Wong recently admitted that his health has been in decline, so he has been paying attention to his diet in recent months.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who appeared at the press conference of a mobile game event on 11 June, revealed that he was warned by doctors to undergo surgery a year and a half ago because of high cholesterol and blood pressure.
“They said it needs to be done now when there is no risk. I said that if there is no risk, then I would wait until there is one,” he said.
Anthony, who admitted that he can be quite stubborn, said that the doctors also warned him that he can die in a year if he does not undergo surgery before adding with a laugh, “It’s been a year and a half, and I am still not dead.”
Nonetheless, the actor said that he has been trying to do better when it comes to his physical health, saying that he is now keeping watch of what he eats.
“You can’t eat much, but you can’t drink less wine. Fortunately, I lost a bit of weight even though it’s not so much,” he added.
