Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG) is forming a new girl group, 23 years since the emergence and success of Twins.
As reported on Mingpao, the news was confirmed by EEG manager Mani Fok, saying that they hope to bring joy to the audience through the formation of the new group.
“I believe that when the public hears it, the first thing they will think of is Nicholas Tse’s song “Alive VIVA” 20 years ago. Years later, even though I am still associated with this word, my mentality has not changed. The music we create is all about bringing happiness to the audience,” she added.
The group, which derives its name from the words “Viva La Vida”, consists of four members – Ada, Carina, Macy, and VALC, with each of them coming from talent shows.
Ada, who is also romantically linked to MIRROR’s Keung To, was an alumna of ViuTV’s “King Maker IV” alongside Carina. VALC came from HOYTV’s “Youniverse”, while Macy, who is the first to have signed up with EEG, starred in mainland’s “Chuang 2020”.
