Niki Chow is elated that her long-awaited drama, “Story of Qinglian” is finally airing.
The Hong Kong actress shared the good news on social media recently with several character photos of her as Fang Huairui, saying, “The work from four years ago is finally available. Almost at the end, I was already pregnant, so Morris is also involved in this TV series.”
Morris, in this case, is her three-year-old son.
The drama began filming back in 2019 and was originally scheduled to release on Tencent Video in mid-May this year. However, as it neared the broadcast date, it was suddenly announced that the drama has been withdrawn due to technical issues.
In a previous interview, Niki admitted that filming a costume drama during the summer was very difficult, and that the said drama will most likely be her last costume drama.
Co-starring Peter Ho, He Hongshan and Huang Shengyi, “Story of Qinglian”revolves around the character of Luo Qinglian, who aspires to lead an ordinary life, only to be forced to marry into the royal family.
