It was reported that Jackie Chan has now started filming the sequel to his mid-2000 movie, “The Myth”.
According to Tencent, photos from the set of the new movie have reportedly been circulating online, including one of Jackie alongside a staff member as well as actress Gülnezer Bextiyar (also known as Guli Nazha), the latter a new addition to the project.
Another photo from the set also showed the Uyghur Chinese actress riding a horse against a backdrop of a snowy location.
Rumours of a sequel sparked earlier this year, after many noticed that the project was in the list released by the China Film Administration of movies to be filmed this year.
The original movie, released in 2005, stars Jackie as an archaeologist who sets out on a quest to find an object of mythical powers, only to discover his true destiny as a reincarnation of a Qin Dynasty general.
The movie co-stars Korean actress Kim Hee-Sun, Hong Kong actor Tony Leung Kar Fai, Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat, and was directed by Stanley Tong.
