It looks like Donnie Yen may have finally found the leading lady for his new movie, “SAKRA” in former TVB actress, Grace Wong.
Rumours of Grace starring in the movie sparked on 2 August, when the actress shared a photo of her in Hengdian, writing, “Received a call for an exciting new project two month ago. Though it’s been tough not being able to go home and see my loved ones, I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited to go back to the actors’ life.”
Though she made no mention as to what movie it is, the actress could be seen wearing a shirt bearing an image of the poster of “SAKRA” that Donnie previously shared on social media.
Fuelling rumours even further, she also tagged the martial arts actor’s name in the said photo.
In a previous interview, Donnie stated that he doesn’t want just another pretty face to play Azhu to his Qiao Feng for the said adaptation of Louis Cha’s “Eight Books of the Heavenly Dragon”, and would have no issue conducting a nationwide search for the right leading lady.
In fact, Grace is no stranger to doing martial arts projects, having starred in kung-fu-themed TVB dramas like “A Fist Within Four Walls” and “The Righteous Fists”.
