Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi recently urged her fans to be “the bigger person” when it comes to responding to her bashers.

On 3 August, the beauty queen took to Instagram Story to address her fans, saying that a lot of people have been tagging her in edited photos of herself, as well as threats and insults against her.

“After the talk we had last week, I was hoping that this unnecessary cyberbullying would somehow stop or lessen. I invite my fans to not answer and fight back, please. If you want to protect me, then simply use the hashtag #kindnesscampaign,” she wrote.

Celeste ended the post, saying, “Let’s not engage with any form of hate.”

While the Filipina-Italian beauty made no mention as to what it was about, prior to the post, there had been malicious social media posts about her, including one that accused her of having plastic surgery done on her face.
