GMA Artists Center recently denounced those who are responsible for spreading fake nudes of its top star, Alden Richards.
In a statement released on 4 April on social media, the agency expressed, “We wish to inform the public that the said photo is fake and digitally altered using a picture that Mr. Richards posted on his social media account months ago.”
“We will be seeking legal recourse against those involved in the posting and sharing of this fake photo as well as those posting libelous comments on said photo,” it added.
In the same post, the agency stressed that Alden has always been a good role model for many people, and that such a malicious activity of defaming the actor is strongly condemned.
“We all need to guard against fake news, so we urge the public to think before they click.”
The said nude photo, which has been circulating the internet, was revealed to be a digitally edited image of a previous shirtless photo that Alden took back in January.
