Austin Lin has been selected to host this year’s edition of the Golden Horse Awards.
As reported on Epoch Times, the news was announced by the programme director Isaac Chen, who stated that the “At Café 6” actor is absolutely competent to accept the challenge.
“I never thought I would get the opportunity to do this,” said Austin. “It’s a great honour to host the ceremony for the first time at the Golden Horse Awards. I am very nervous and excited and I hope that everybody will enjoy their time at the ceremony.”
Making his debut in showbiz via “One Million Star” in 2007, Austin’s rise to stardom began when he made the move to film and television, winning Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Horse Awards in 2016 for “At Cafe 6”, and nominated yet again last year for Best Actor for his performance in “I WeirDo”.
On the other hand, singer Eve Ai will be performing at the event.
The 58th Golden Horse Awards will be held on 27 November.
