“Krrish” star Hrithik Roshan recently announced that there will be a fourth instalment of his superhero movie, “Krrish”.
In an Instagram post celebrating the 15th anniversary of the said franchise that he posted on 23 June, the actor shared a short clip of the said superhero throwing his mask and the words “15 years of Krrish” appearing at the end.
He captioned it, “The past is done. Let’s see what the future brings. Krrish4.”
The first “Krrish” movie helmed by Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan came in 2003, though it was not a superhero film and was instead a sci-fi film called “Koi… Mil Gaya” about the friendship between Rohit (Hrithik Roshan), a developmentally disabled man; and Jadoo, an extra-terrestrial being that he contacted with his late father’s computer.
It was later followed by “Krrish” in 2006 – which revolves around Rohit son’s Krishna (also played by Hrithik Roshan) who inherits his father’s superpower, and subsequently “Krrish 3” in 2013, both movies co-starring Priyanka Chopra.
Previously, it was reported that the fourth movie was ready to begin filming last year for a Christmas 2020 release, but that Rakesh had to postpone the project due to the pandemic.
