The world’s number one sport isn’t an exclusive all-guy club, it also proudly boasts plenty of fantastic female footballers. The male version of football (or soccer) may be more popular but this doesn’t mean that women’s football is viewed as any less.

Hope Solo isn’t just gorgeous but she’s also awesome when it comes to stopping the opposing team from scoring a goal. This 39-year-old footballer has a remarkable record, having won two golds at the Olympics and most importantly, she successfully led the USA team to victory at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Lieke Martens

Lieke Martens, midfielder for the Spanish giant, Barcelona, and the Netherlands women’s national team is not only beautiful but also a beast in front of the opponent’s goal. Even though not a main striker, Martens has successfully scored 11 goals out of 29 appearance in Barcelona and 3 goals out of 8 appearance with the national team. Her skills have earned her the title Best FIFA Women’s Player 2017.
Lauren Sesselmann

Formerly of Canada’s national squad, Lauren Sesselmann now plays for the Santa Clarita Blue Heat. Despite having a graceful beauty, don’t be fooled by it as she was a tough defender for the Canadian team from 2011 to 2015. She was also in the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, where she helped Canada score its first gold.

German-born Julia Simic started her professional career as a footballer in the Frauen-Bundesliga from 2015 to 2017, playing for the VFL Wolfsburg and SC Freiburg teams before making the decision to transfer to England’s West Ham United in 2018. Now Julia will reportedly play for the Italian giant, A.C. Milan. Throughout her career as a professional football player, Julia has won the 2007 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship and third place at FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Canada’s sensational football star Jonelle Filingno started off her professional football career at the age of 17. The Sky Blue FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) also represented her country and has nabbed bronze at the Beijing Olympics. Aside from that, Filingno also played for Canada in major matches such as the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and Women’s World Cup in Germany as well as CONCACAF 2010.

Switching to Asian player, we have Lee Min-a, a South Korean footballer. Despite her petite frame, she is a skilled player on the field. At the moment, she is playing for the Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels team and South Korea’s national team. Her best achievement was when she helped the South Korean team in placing third at the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Her skills earned her the Korea Football Association’s (KFA) Best Player title in 2017.
