Zhou Xun has now begun filming her new movie, “Tomorrow Will Be Better” (translated title) with director Peter Chan.

The movie boasts a strong lineup of acting talents, with Zhou Xun and Wen Qi playing mother and daughter for the first time.

“Tomorrow Will Be Better” focuses on the plight of contemporary middle-aged women, and tells the story of Shen Jia (Zhou Xun), a top TV host who appears glamorous to outsiders, but whose life is on the verge of collapse behind the spotlight.

She not only faces a marriage in name only to a long-absent husband (Wang Xiao), and a daughter (Wen Qi) who has become mute under immense pressure, but also struggles with her father (Tian Zhuangzhuang) who suffers from a hereditary disease. The story revolves around how she rebuilds her self-worth and repairs her family relationships in the face of this complete collapse.

Zhou Xun highly praised Wen Qi’s acting skills, exclaiming that co-starring with Wen Qi made her feel “amazed,” and that she hadn’t been so impressed by the performances of young actors in a long time.

The film is currently shooting in Chengdu.

Wang Yibo’s fan club has recently dismissed rumours that the actor has now joined a new agency.

As reported on NetEase, earlier it was reported that the “Luoyang” actor will be joining K Artists, the agency founded by good friends and fellow actors Chen Kun and Zhou Xun.

Upon checking with relevant parties, the fan club Wumao Mama took to Weibo on 21 February, and posted, “This was confirmed to be false news. Everybody, read gossips rationally. You can just not believe it or you can ignore it.”

“Any information is subject to official announcements. Do not spread rumours,” it added.

Founded in 2018 by Chen and Zhou, the company later added Shu Qi in 2020 as a co-founder. Among other artistes under the K Artists banner are Ni Dahong and Zhang Jingyi.

Tuni Nguyen, a German-Vietnamese entrepreneur previously linked to Zhou Xun’s ex-husband, Archie Kao, has recently denied any romance between them.

On 23 January, the social media influencer posted several Instagram Story addressing the said rumour, which sparked after Archie reposted a photo of him with her on social media.

Sharing a photo of herself, she wrote, “Since I got some Chinese and Vietnamese followers through that, I wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I’m Tuni. I’m 28 years old and I don’t have a 24-year older boyfriend. Or any boyfriend. Probably because I’m that girl standing with a bowl of mashed potato at the bar.”

She also revealed herself to be a digital marketing and branding agency funder who works with Chinese clients.

… also to comedian Nigel Ng’s YouTube followers, she was also the girl who decided to go as Uncle Roger on Halloween in 2020.

She later took to IG Story yet again to laugh at what she called “fake news”, writing, “At this point I had to call my grandma to let her know I am not my 52-year-old friend’s new hot gf (and successful – I’m glad they added that part).”

Archie, who is most known to Asians for his role in CBS’ show “CSI”, tied the knot with mainland star Zhou Xun in 2014 after a whirlwind romance. Rumours of their divorce sparked several years later after fans noticed that the two were rarely seen together, until Zhou finally confirmed it in December 2020.

After years of speculation about the status of their marriage, Archie Kao finally confirmed that he and actress wife Zhou Xun are already divorced.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor revealed this particular information recently after a photo of him kissing another woman circulated online, with the woman writing, “My love, the best of luck on this journey you’re making. Make the most out of each day. I’ll be waiting for you with great enthusiasm.”

Following the post, Zhou took to social media and wrote, “Wish you well”. Archie also posted similarly on his own social media account.

Archie later admitted to the media through a friend that he and Zhou have already called it quits on their marriage and that the two have always been financially independent from one another.

The friend also added that the actor assumed everybody already knew about the divorce as he and Zhou have not been photographed together for such a long time, and that he was surprised that his new romance attracted a lot of attention.

Archie, who is now working behind the camera, stated that his new girlfriend is a Singaporean and that she was an old love.

Zhou Xun surprised many back in 2014 when she and Archie appeared in wedding attires at a charity event to announce that they have tied the knot – two months after they announced their relationship. However, rumours of marital woes began to circulate in 2017, with the “CSI” actor no longer seen with Zhou starting the next year.
