Singer-songwriter Wu Qingfeng has recently been selected as one of the Outstanding Alumni of 2026 at National Chengchi University’s anniversary celebration, becoming first alumnus in the school’s history to receive the honour as a singer.

According to NCCU’s official website introduction of its distinguished alumni, Wu Qingfeng, who majored in Chinese Literature, double-majored in Advertising, and minored in Business Administration and Education, rose to prominence through the university’s Golden Melody competition before forming the band Sodagreen. Since debuting, he has written more than 500 songs and lyrics, winning major Golden Melody Awards six times.

His work spans pop music, film and television, and international collaborations. His lyrics for “Late for a Thousand Years” were even selected for junior high Chinese-language textbooks, making him one of the few creators to cross into both pop culture and education.

Speaking about receiving the award, Wu said, “I often write songs while moving through life, and works were born in every corner of NCCU where I wandered. On the ever-changing sediment of my life up to now, I often think back to those times, like an invisible anchor, and then continue flowing again. Thank you for everything that happened during those years at NCCU.”
