Will Smith seemed to be having a really interesting night at the Oscars.

Twitter is currently going crazy, sharing an uncensored exchange between Will Smith and Chris Rock that was cut from the US broadcast but aired internationally, in which the comedian was punched by the actor after making a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett being in “G.I. Jane” because of her shaved head (Jada previously opened up about her struggles with alopecia).

“Will Smith just smack the shit out of me,” said Rock after the actor punched him square in the face, while audiences laughed.

“Keep my wife’s name out of your [expletive] mouth!” Smith could be heard shouting after returning to his seat, receiving a big response from the audiences who realised that it was not a laughing matter.

“Wow, dude. Yeah, it was a GI Jane joke,” Chris defended himself.

“Keep my wife’s name out of your [expletive] mouth!” the actor repeated.

“I’m going to,” Chris Rock responded, before looking into the camera and said that it was going to be the greatest night in the history of television.

It was all that netizens are talking about right now, even after Smith was announced as Best Actor for his performance in “King Richard”, besting contenders like Javier Bardem and Denzel Washington.

In his speech, the actor apologised and expressed, “Love will make you do crazy things.”

Will Smith has recently confirmed the one thing we all know about him – he is not a fan of his 1999 movie, “Wild Wild West”

The actor, who participated on GQ’s “Actually Me” series, shared as much about the said steampunk Western movie, which flopped at the box office and received much criticism from both critics and fans alike when it came out.

“Wild Wild West is a thorn in my side. To see myself in chaps… I don’t like it,” he said.

It is noted that not only did the movie received eight Razzie nominations and won him Worst Original Song for the “Wild Wild West” theme, Smith also turned down the role of Neo in “The Matrix” for the said film. Say what?!

On the other hand, Smith revealed that he considered “Men in Black” – the movie that became a box office hit, and “The Pursuit of Happyness” – the movie that enabled him to get an Oscar nomination, to be his best films.

“For different reasons, those are the two almost-perfect movies,” he said.

After Dwayne Johnson expressed his interest in joining politics last month, it was revealed that Will Smith is also thinking of the same thing – though he made no mention as to whether it was the highest seat in the office that he was thinking of.

In an interview with the podcast “Pod Save America”, co-host Jon Favreau asked Smith of his previous light-hearted statement about joining politics and that if he has changed his thoughts about it.

To that, he responded, “I think for now I’ll let that office get cleaned up a little bit and then I’ll consider that at some point down the line.” 

“I absolutely have an opinion, I’m optimistic, I’m hopeful, I believe in understanding between people and I believe in the possibility of harmony. I will certainly do my part, whether it remains artistic or, at some point, ventures into the political arena,” he added.

Who knows, maybe we can have President Johnson and Vice President Smith (or vice versa) in the future?

Hey, remember that time when DJ Khaled totally stole the show in “Pitch Perfect 3”? (Sort of). Well, now he’s about to steal some bad boys’ thunder – if he could compete with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, that is.

The record producer has officially joined the cast of the upcoming “Bad Boys for Life”.

Variety states that the story will revolve around the old school lead duo when they collide with a modern, highly specialised police unit as a threat hits Miami.

Not much is known about Khaled’s role in the movie at the moment but he sure is slowly making his way into the acting business, with him also being a voice actor in this year’s animated film “Spies in Disguise”.

Can the larger-than-life DJ Khaled upstage these bad boys?

Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, “Bad Boys for Life” also features Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Jacob Scipio and Paola Nuñez as part of its cast, with Joe Pantoliano returning as Captain Howard.

Production is currently underway with Jerry Bruckheimer producing along will Doug Belgard.

The third movie in the “Bad Boys” franchise is hitting North American cinemas on 17 January 2020.
