Wang Leehom’s camp has recently denied rumours that the singer-songwriter is dating anew, after netizens noticed a new woman appearing at a recent concert celebration party.

The woman, who has long hair and wore glasses, can be seen enjoying herself as Leehom performed at the after-party, and at one point, even pulled the singer’s mother to sing and dance with her.

Netizens began to dig deep, and found the woman to be an influencer with more than 80,000 followers on RedNote. She even shared a video of her attending the party, captioning it, “Leehom’s parents are super cute, dancing with Wang’s father and mother.”

However, when asked about the identity of the woman, Leehom’s camp responded, “The woman in question is the girlfriend of a business partner. Leehom has always enjoyed playing music with everyone after work, making sure all guests have a great time.”

“We sincerely ask the public to stop making baseless speculations. Such unfounded rumours cause significant trouble for our partners. We ask everyone to respect the facts,” they added.

Wang Leehom recently sang praises for Shila Amzah, who made a guest appearance at his show in Malaysia to perform his hit song, “Forever Love” together.

On 12 March, the Taiwanese singer posted a clip from his “The Free Show” that was held in Kuala Lumpur, where the Malaysian singer appeared on stage with him to sing the song much to fans’ delight.

“Huge thanks to the AMAZING Shila @shahilaamzah for special guesting at this years Free Show!” he posted. “I never realised how perfect 《Forever Love》 is for a male-female duet, this was my first time rearranging it this way, and it felt so full of warmth and love! Hope you like it too!”

Shila then commented on the post, writing, “Thank you so much for having me. I had a great time!”

Meanwhile, others also sang praises for the new rendition, including Hong Kong singer Vivian Chow, who commented, “So nice to hear.”

Meanwhile, others couldn’t be happier for Shila, saying that the singer finally got to perform alongside her favourite singer after singing the said song on “Asian Wave” more than a decade ago.

Wang Leehom surprised fans recently by announcing that he is working with John Legend on his new music.

Sharing the good news on Instagram with photos of him and the American singer-songwriter rehearsing music together, he expressed, “What a thrill to make music and become friends with this Legend @johnlegend. We’ve got some unbelievable songs coming your way!”

It was reported that Wang and Legend began collaborating last year and have already recorded many songs together.

The news of their cooperation came amid rumours that Legend may join Hunan TV’s “Singer 2025”. However, the singer’s camp has not made any response regarding the rumours.

Meanwhile, Wang has been slowly returning to music following his previous marital issue that had him taking a hiatus from showbiz for some time.

Wang Leehom’s former wife Lee Jinglei has recently addressed the singer’s recent words at his concert, in which he claimed that views seemed to be more important than facts to the public.

As reported on Oriental Daily, on 9 September, the singer-songwriter held his “ONE Wang Leehom” concert in Taipei, and addressed his fans during the show.

Leehom, who kneeled and thanked his fans, joked about his divorce, saying that the public seemed to know more about what had happened than he does.

“I only know what I have done by watching the news. Is the truth not important? The truth is not important. The most important thing is the views, right?” he said.

The comment had since sparked heated discussion, with even singer Jenny Tseng criticised Leehom, saying that she doesn’t know what to say after hearing this coming from a highly educated person.

Responding to the statement via Instagram Story on 12 September, Leehom’s ex-wife Lee Jinglei posted, “When art is no longer pure, but becomes a weapon to hurt others, when influence becomes a way to summon the executioner, pure art will turn into ashes. If you truly love art, let art be pure. Find your own tranquillity and stop disturbing the moral order of society in the name of art.”

She also mentioned the issue of responsibility, saying, “The greater the ability, the greater the responsibility. Economic and social responsibility are always above art.”

Wang Leehom is bringing his concert tour to Malaysia for a two-day treat.

The news was announced by organiser Casa Entertainment, saying that the “ONE LEEHOM WANG Live in Malaysia” concert will be held at the Arena of Stars in Resorts World Genting from 10 to 11 November 2023.

It is noted that Leehom last performed in Malaysia four years ago, prior to his high-profile divorce from Lee Jing-Lei.

Leehom previously held his show in Bangkok, and seeing the warm reception he received from fans, who even travelled from China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Europe to see him, decided to extend the show to more countries.

Tickets will officially go on sale at 12 noon on 25 August, with prices ranging from RM288 to RM1088.

Wang Leehom’s rep has released a statement denying that a recent supposedly lewd video of four people shared by a tabloid involved the singer.

As reported on NetEase on 15 July, the singer’s management stated that Leehom has entrusted a lawyer to deal with the incident, and that they have begun collecting evidence and preparing for a lawsuit.

The company also added that they have zero tolerance on malicious rumours.

Earlier, a Taiwanese tabloid shared a supposed eight-minute private video, and accused Leehom of being involved with Vivian Hsu, Christine Fan and Blackie Chen. They also claimed that the source of the news was Leehom’s ex-wife Lee Jinglei.

However, netizens were sceptical of the reports, seeing that the video was too blurry, and that Jinglei herself has previously stated on social media that Leehom had no relationship with the aforementioned names “as far as I know”.

At the same time, the publication was also known to have posted articles that have been proven false, including news about Nicholas Tse and Faye Wong’s breakup.

Two years after their high-profile separation made headlines, Wang Leehom and Lee Jinglei were finally granted divorce by a New York Court.

But not without another back and forth between the two parties.

As reported on Mingpao, Leehom was made to pay the legal fees, reportedly exceeding NTD 1 million due to the fact that he was the one who applied for divorce. However, Jinglei’s lawyer soon reacted by saying that Leehom had to compensate his ex-wife for the legal fees as he was at fault.

Leehom’s lawyer later retaliated by saying that the New York court did not find the singer having any fault and that the divorce was granted based on the agreement between two parties, adding that Jinglei had already acquired a huge property via the agreement before deciding to claim another USD 10 million and prolonging the litigation.

Responding to that, Jinglei’s lawyer accused Leehom’s team of twisting the fact and the legal judgement, stating that the fact that Leehom was the party at fault was written in black and white by the court. They added that Jinglei also did not receive a single cent from Leehom as she voluntarily relinquished any claim to his properties.

As for the supposed huge amount of money, the lawyer stated that Jinglei has never made additional claim, and that the trial time continues to be extended due to Leehom’s multiple appeals after his loss in July 2022.

Leehom and Lee Jinglei had been at it ever since the singer announced that the two are filing for divorce back in December 2021, with Jinglei later on accusing Leehom of infidelity and affairs with multiple women.

Following news of Coco Lee’s shocking death by suicide on 5 July,Taiwanese singer Wang Leehom paid a lovely tribute to the late 48-year old star.

Leehom wrote on his social media “When CoCo and I first met, we were both teenagers probably 18 and 19 years old. We were both relatively new to Taiwan and barely spoke Chinese. One night a group of us went bowling with the L.A. Boys, and I can still remember she was the life of the party. Every guy had a crush on her but assumed she was out of their league. She had a radiant smile an infectious laugh, a larger than life personality. She already had all the qualities that were to make her a future star.”

“As the years progressed, and we matured as musicians, our paths continued to cross. We worked with the same producers and signed at the same label, and even worked with the same promotion team. All the while, her star kept rising. She was the biggest star at Sony, and then, she was the biggest star in Asia. I remember her singing at the Oscars, Sony New York signed her to be the first Chinese artist to break into the United States market. Mariah Carey’s agent signed her. Everybody wanted to work with CoCo, and for good reason. She was the best.”

“In the music industry, Coco Lee broke down international barriers, before any other Chinese singer did. Let’s always remember her, as a brave pioneer, and an important musical legend.

I am lucky and grateful to have known her also, as a warm friend. Her spirit, her sunshine, like her voice and music, will never fade.”

Wang Leehom’s lawyer has dismissed the notion that his ex-wife Lee Jinglei has won the previous custody lawsuit in the United States.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer’s legal rep responded to a recent podcast episode where Jinglei spoke about her feelings on winning the case, saying, “The law is about facts, not feelings. In response to Ms. Lee’s podcast saying that she won the case in the United States, Mr. Wang Leehom has explained through his lawyer that it was transferred back to Taiwan for jurisdiction reasons.”

“There is no so-called “victory determination”. We have no way of commenting on Ms. Lee’s self-feeling that she has won the lawsuit. I hope that Ms. Lee can abide by the ruling of the Taiwan court and perform it faithfully, so that the enforcement process can go smoothly,” the lawyer added.

In the earlier podcast, Jinglei shared her experience of dealing with the court case, and how she scheduled her time amid the situation that she described as “tough”. She then stated that it all changed when she received a letter saying that she won the lawsuit.

“At that time, my soul had already left my body. I really needed to cry and a space to release my emotions,” she said, adding that she finally did so after her children fell asleep.
