Tracy Chu recently revealed that she is pregnant with her second child.

The Miss Hong Kong alumna shared the news on social media on 17 May with a couple of photos, including one of her and her small family of three.

She wrote, “As the little one turns two, here we are getting ready to do it all over again.”

Tracy, who joined TVB after participating in Miss Hong Kong 2012, gradually faded from the limelight in recent years, focusing on her legal career.

Despite this, her working relationship with TVB remains strong. She recently renewed her contract last year and promised to continue her on-screen work, much to the anticipation of her fans.

Tracy tied the knot with husband Justin Wu in 2019 and welcomed their first son Justus in 2024.

Tracy Chu recently revealed that she is looking to work as an actress again, and hopes to get a good project soon.

The actress-turned-barrister, who appeared at the opening ceremony of Cirque du Soleil’s “KOOZA” recently, said that she will definitely get back to acting as soon as she encounters a good script.

“I don’t need my husband’s approval to film a drama. Instead, I have to consider how to manage my time. I want my husband to watch me acting because the drama I last starred in was seven or eight years ago,” she said.

Tracy said that she has been balancing her work as a barrister and taking care of her family since her son was born.

“He just turned one and already knows how to walk. I have to chase him every day. Having a child is a lot of exercise,” she said with a smile.

She is also happy that her friends like Priscilla Wong, Jennifer Shum and Louisa Mak are all parents now, saying that she hopes that their kids can all be friends when they are older.

Tracy Chu recently attended her first public event following the birth of her first child in May.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress-turned-barrister made an appearance at the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation fundraising event on 20 October, where she was asked about her baby boy.

“He looks more like my husband than me. They are truly father and son and get along easily,” she said.

Tracy also said that she and her husband Justin would take turns when it comes to taking care of the baby, especially when it comes to him waking up in the middle of the night.

“It’s because of his willingness to help that we didn’t have to stay up all night,” she added.

As for work, Tracy said that she has resumed work at her law firm in July. At the same time, she has also started taking on commercials.

“No one has approached me for dramas yet. Any future dramas will depend on the timing, the script and the co-stars,” she added.

Tracy Chu is now officially a mother.

The actress shared the news of her baby’s birth on social media on 18 May, as she posted a photo of her newborn’s feet and wrote, “Ours”.

Fans and friends alike took to the comments to congratulate her, including good friend Jennifer Shum, who wrote, “So proud of you. Can’t wait to meet baby E.”

Late last month, Tracy indirectly revealed that she was pregnant with a baby boy, as she shared a group photo with best buddies Jennifer Shum, Roxanne Tong, and Angel Chiang in front of a cake that has the word “BOY” on top of it.

It looks like Tracy Chu is going to give birth to a baby boy.

On 1 May, the actress posted several photos from Roxanne Tong’s birthday party, which was also attended by best friends Angel Chiang and Jennifer Shum.

“The gang is getting bigger and celebrations are getting happier. Happy birthday @roxannetong! Missing you @misskayicheung,” she posted.

However, fans were quick to notice that there were two cakes in front of the girls, one a birthday cake for Roxanne, while the other is a cake with the words “Welcome baby” written on the side and the word “Boy” stuck on top of it.

Tracy also posted a photo of her and Roxanne holding balloon flower bouquets, with her balloons being white and blue.

The actress, who confirmed her pregnancy following her appearance at Roxanne’s wedding late last year, is now in her third trimester.

Despite already in her final trimester of pregnancy, Tracy Chu admitted that she has yet to decide on when to take maternity leave.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who attended an opening ceremony of an eye centre as its spokesperson on 21 April, revealed that she will be attending another public event soon before finally giving sole focus to preparing for birth.

“I hope to give birth naturally. My husband is currently working out of town and will return to Hong Kong later,” she said.

As for the gender of the baby, Tracy said that she and her husband have already known, but that they have decided not to announce it yet.

“Many friends kept asking and used their own experiences to keep guessing. I enjoy watching everyone,” she added.

As for future baby plans, Tracy said that she would focus on her first baby for the time being and would decide later whether she would pursue for another child.

Making her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy, Tracy Chu recently revealed that one of the things she is focusing on is her skincare.

The actress, who attended the opening of a skin management centre in Causeway Bay, revealed that taking care of her skin is even more important now that she is pregnant with her first child, as she would rather not look so swollen.

“I had a bit of an oedema earlier, but luckily, I didn’t have any pregnancy allergies or changed much. I just have a bit of a back pain when I get up recently, so I will pace myself and do some moderate exercise,” she said.

Tracy also revealed that she will rely more on her mother in the later months of her pregnancy, who will fly to Hong Kong from Canada in March.

“We will shop for baby stuff together. I haven’t bought a baby bed, only some clothes given by friends. I am looking forward to do some shopping with my mum and grandmother,” she enthused.

Nonetheless, Tracy said that she will continue to work until she nears her due date to “earn more milk money and do whatever I can.”

This is the first pregnancy for Tracy, who tied the knot with non-showbiz husband Dr. Justin Ng in 2019.

Tracy Chu will become a mother in the year 2024.

The former TVB actress, who tied the knot with Dr Justin Ng in 2019, shared the good news on social media on 1 January with a photo of a pair of baby shoes and a board that read, “We hope we will be good parents. Grateful for the chance to try in 2024.”

She captioned it, “Blessed, excited, nervous.”

Speaking to the media after the announcement, Tracy revealed that she is currently five months pregnant, and that the pregnancy has not affected her work at all.

Rumours of her pregnancy sparked in mid-December, after the actress could be seen hiding her belly in the photos at Roxanne Tong and Kenneth Ma’s wedding.

However, when asked about it, she stated that she will make an announcement when the time comes.

Tracy Chu recently confirmed that she will be serving as a lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong next year.

According to Mingpao, the former beauty queen and TVB actress is set to teach the elective subject, “Public Relations Topics” at the School of Journalism and Communication of the university.

The website of CUHK also shows that Zhu Qianxue is one of the adjunct lecturers in the School of Journalism and Communication.

When asked about her new role, the actress stated that she was invited to serve as a lecturer after graduating from CUHK with a Master’s degree. However, she was studying for a doctorate in Law at the time, and had no time to do so.

Tracy stated that while she is busy with her work as a barrister, she believes that she will be able to manage her time well and set a balance between her personal life and careers as a barrister, a lecturer and an artiste.

Tracy Chu is not at all pressured to have a child, despite good friend Jennifer Shum already welcoming her first baby not a year into her marriage.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who appeared at a brand event recently, was asked about Jennifer’s first baby and said that she has yet to go and visit due to the pandemic, though she did celebrate the actress’ recent birthday.

“I haven’t seen the baby until now. I can just look at the photos. I will give the baby his gift later when I finally see him,” she said.

When asked if she has any desire to have her own child after seeing her best friend with one, Tracy laughed and said that even Jennifer urged her to do the same.

“She wants me to have a baby quickly so that our kids can play together. But for now, I really have to fix a schedule with my husband. Both of us have been too busy,” she said.

Asked if she is not worried, Tracy said that she will just go with the flow.

“Right now, I am enjoying my married life. I’ve only been married for two years, and our families are not pushing us, so there is no pressure,” she said.

It was last month that Jennifer announced that she has given birth to her first son, Preston, saying that her baby was born two weeks earlier than expected.
