Fans were surprised after finding out that actress Sun Yi and actor husband Dong Zijian have called it quits on their marriage.

On the morning of 8 August, the “The Legend of Mi Yue” actress took to Weibo and wrote, “I wished us well in the past and I wish you and me well in the future.”

She also tagged Dong in the post.

Meanwhile, the actor wrote, “We are all fine.”

The divorce news was later released by their respective studios, saying that the two have decided to separate amicably after much consideration.

“The couple have completed the relevant procedures, and will be raising their child together,” the studios added. “After this statement is issued, the two will no longer respond to this matter.”

The couple, who announced their relationship in 2016, tied the knot a year later. Their daughter was born in September 2017.
