Song Yi is set to reunite with Ryan Cheng in the new drama, “Shadow Love”.

The two stars previously worked together in “Follow Your Heart”, which has yet to be aired. However, in the said series, Ryan was the second lead, while Song Yi’s character is paired up with Luo Yunxi.

However, in this new drama, which is adapted from a novel by Jiu Lu Feixiang, Song will play a female general named Li Shuang of the Jin Dynasty, who saves a seriously injured man (Ryan) with amnesia and brought him to her military camp.

The man then begs her to let him join her troop, where the two work together to uncover a spy. Unbeknownst to her, the amnesiac man is actually a royalty.

The upcoming drama will be helmed by Deng Ke of “My Heroic Husband” and “The Legend of Shen Li” fame.

Chinese actor Zheng Kai (aka Ryan Cheng) has been appointed a tourism ambassador for the city of Haining.

As reported on Sohu, the actor, whose role as Mr. Wei in “Blossoms Shanghai” sets off a wave of craze across China, attracted the attention of the Haining tourism board, which has decided to officially hire him as Haining Cultural Tourism Promotional Ambassador.

Speaking at the event of his appointment, Zheng couldn’t hide his excitement as he said, “Mr. Wei has finally come home. It is my honour. I would like to thank director Wong Kar Wai and the ‘Blossoms Shanghai’ team for allowing us to get acquainted.”

Meanwhile, the tourism board stated that they hope Zheng could continue his role as “Haining President Wei” in real life, so that the city could further increase its visibility and reputation.

They also hope that the actor will be a “living advertisement” of Haining’s cultural tourism image.
