After tying the knot in 2021, Tiffany Hsu and Roy Chiu recently announced that they are set to hold their wedding reception at the end of the month.

On 19 November, the couple released a couple of wedding photos, revealing that their wedding will be held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Taipei on 28 November, four years after they registered their marriage.

Tiffany and Roy, who met on the set of “Man in Love,” have always been hush-hush about their relationship. It wasn’t until August this year that Tiffany announced on social media that she has given birth to a healthy baby boy.

She also recently spoke about Roy in an interview, saying that the actor did kneel down on one knee to propose, only after they registered their marriage.

“I am shy by nature. A proposal ceremony that is just for the two of us is enough. A grand one would make me feel embarrassed,” she said.

As for the changes in Roy after becoming a father, Tiffany said that while the actor was always a rational and cautious person, “his eyes are always shining like stars,” every time he is with their son.

Roy Chiu has recently made his first appearance since welcoming his first child with wife, Tiffany Hsu.

On 5 October, the Taiwanese actor attended a medical beauty endorsement event, where he was asked about his experience as a first-time father.

Roy, whose son Ian is now over two months old, smiled as he admitted that the baby still can’t sleep through the night, forcing him to wake up in the middle of the night to soothe him.

However, he doesn’t find it tiring, stating, “The joys of raising a child outweigh the hardship.”

Roy also stated that he understood the hardships his wife went through during pregnancy and childbirth, so he took care of feeding, changing diapers, and burping the baby, hoping that his wife could have a good rest after giving birth.

He also shared that he cried when he saw the baby was born, and said, “I hope that he will have a personality as warm and caring as his mother.”

“I hope my wife and children will be happy and healthy every day,” he added.

Tiffany Hsu has recently given birth to her first child.

Sharing the good news on Instagram on 15 August, the Taiwanese actress posted a photo of her baby’s tiny foot and wrote, “We are all safe.”

Fans and friends alike took to the comments to congratulate her and husband Roy Chiu, including Ruby Lin, Shu Qi, and Valen Hsu, the latter who wrote, “Big congratulations.”

This is the first baby for Tiffany and Roy, who tied the knot at the end of 2021. Rumours of a pregnancy sparked back in April, although both parties never made any public statement about it.

Tiffany Hsu recently made her first public appearance since announcing her marriage with actor Roy Chiu.

The actress, who attended the press conference of her new drama, “The Ninth Lesson”, was all smiles when asked about married life, saying that she is doing “very good and very happy.”

Talking about her career after marriage, Tiffany stated that there will be no change at all.

“There are too many excellent actors to cooperate with and I cherish every single collaboration with good actors. So no, there will be no difference.”

As for her baby plans, Tiffany said that she will be focusing on work for now and will let fate takes its course.

In her upcoming series, the actress will play the role of a Chinese teacher. Despite how easy it may sound, the actress said that it was no easier than doing a thriller.

“Our drama is filmed in the mountains and at sea. It was either windy or rainy. It was very hard for us physically and psychologically because every character has their own issue,” she said.

Tiffany Hsu and Roy Chiu surprised many recently by announcing that they are now married.

The news was shared by the Taiwanese actress on social media with a photo of her and Roy wearing their wedding rings.

“I once said that if there is good news, I will share it with everyone,” she posted. “The good news is that we are married.”

According to sources, the two stars registered their marriage on 7 December.

It is noted that Tiffany was previously revealed to be dating cinematographer Liu You-Nian, but shared in May this year that they have ended their romance and decided to remain friends.

On the other hand, prior to the marriage, Roy was romantically linked to Janine Chang.

Rumours of romance between Tiffany and Roy sparked after the two starred together as on-screen lovers in the 2021 hit movie, “Man in Love”.

Taiwanese actor Roy Chiu has recently been appointed the ambassador of the upcoming 23rd Taipei International Film Festival.

As reported on Epoch Times, in addition to shooting promotional posters and videos for the said festival, Roy will also be presenting at the Taipei Film Awards on 10 July.

Roy’s first experience with the festival came in 2018, after he won the Best Actor award for his movie, “Dear Ex”. Roy recalled watching the movie at the premiere, saying that he was moved by all the subtle feedbacks from the audiences behind him.

“I have a good feeling towards the Taipei Film Festival, so when I received the invitation, I promised that I would participate and that I am honoured to be able to contribute,” he said.

Roy also admitted that he was pressured to do better and better after winning at the said event in 2018, to the extent of getting too strict about his performance.

“But then I realised that the title of Best Actor has nothing to do with the moments of your performance. Only then I slowly gave up the pressure and focus only on acting,” he said.

The 23rd Taipei International Film Festival will be running from 24 June to 10 July 2021.
