Rebecca Zhu has recently dismissed rumours that she is now with somebody new and may be pregnant with her boyfriend’s child.

The actress recently appeared at a screening, wearing a yellow shirt that she tucked into a skirt, seemingly to show no sign of a baby bump.

When asked about the rumours that stemmed from her wearing a loose shirt at a previous event, Rebecca seemed both amused and exasperated, saying that her weight had not changed at all.

“I was just dressing casually that day. I did not expect the rumours to be so exaggerated. I will not dress casually next time I go out, so as not to cause unnecessary misunderstandings,” she joked.

However, while she denies pregnancy, Rebecca did admit that she is currently getting to know someone outside the entertainment industry.

“We both have feelings for each other, but we are not dating yet,” she added.

She stated that she always dates with marriage in mind, and so this time will make sure to understand things thoroughly before deciding whether to take the next step.

Although it has been a while since she is seen in a TVB drama, Rebecca Zhu stressed that she is still very much a part of the company.

The actress, who appeared at the premiere of the Nick Cheung film, “Peg O’ My Heart”, said that her contract with the TV station is not ending anytime soon, and that she has been participating in various web movies on different platforms in mainland China during this period.

“I also went to Malaysia to perform in front of thousands of audiences for the first time. If I have the opportunity in the future, I would like to be a singer. I hope I can diversify my career,” she said.

Rebecca also said that she has been preparing herself and will participate in a new drama soon.

As for her role in “Peg O’ My Heart”, the actress said that she is happy to be able to work with her idol, Nick Cheung in the movie.

“Hopefully, I will get the chance to make more movies and be a part of both the TV and film industry,” she added.

Rebecca Zhu had to say “no” five times recently to question about whether or not she will be tying the knot this year.

The actress, who was rumoured to be dating Brilliant International Group heir, Kenneth Shi after Alice Chan hinted about the actress settling down earlier this year, said that it was all just a misunderstanding.

“Everybody misunderstood what Alice meant. She was just sending her blessings, hoping that I would get married within the year. I know she was just joking. But thank you for your blessings,” she said.

Rebecca described her status as “available”, adding that she is unsure how her friendship with Kenneth was twisted into something more.

“It was fortunate that we understand each other and had no misunderstanding about it,” she said.

When it comes to marriage, said the actress, she will just let things happen.

“When I was young, I thought about getting married and having children at the age of 30, but now I am 36 years old, and I still don’t know when I will get married,” she said.

After allegedly breaking up with rumoured girlfriend Rebecca Zhu, Matthew Ho is revealed to have now moved on to a new relationship.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor admitted to dating anew when asked about it recently, after it was reported that he has started seeing a woman named Sarah, who is also the founder of a public relations company.

“We are developing steadily and she is an outsider. I hope that everyone can give us some space,” he said.

It was reported that Matthew and Sarah met each other through work, as the actor would promote products that Sarah obtained from her clients.

Fans couldn’t help but notice that this is the first time that Matthew confesses to dating somebody. The actor has never mentioned publicly about the real status between him and Rebecca prior, though the relationship was an open secret.

Rebecca Zhu has dismissed rumours that she is now secretly dating the very wealthy Kenneth Shi, son of Allen Shi, the President of the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong.

As reported on Mingpao, sources recently claimed that the TVB actress has started dating the heir last year and even went on a holiday to Thailand together. She was also rumoured to be pregnant with Kenneth’s child.

When asked about the rumour during a recent appearance, Rebecca denied that she is dating anybody, adding that the two of them are just friends.

“We were introduced by a mutual friend, but he is not pursuing me,” she explained.

Rebecca also laughed when asked about the pregnancy rumour, saying, “That’s just too exaggerated. I even wore high heels at an event a few days ago. I want to focus on my career for now. There is no suitor.”

It is noted that prior to Kenneth, Rebecca was romantically linked to her “A General, A Scholar and A Eunuch” co-star, Matthew Ho.

Rebecca Zhu has recently dismissed rumours that she is being set aside by TVB for the time being after sparking several negative news for the past two years.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who made an appearance at the Miss Hong Kong 2021 pageant recently, dismissed that she was forced to withdraw from the upcoming series, “Rosy Business 4” due to her previous headlines – from accusing Tony Hung of taking too many liberties with her while filming the drama “Wonder Women”, to her supposed rift with “The Dripping Sauce” co-star Katy Kung.

“This is not a fact and I would rather not respond,” said Rebecca regarding the rumour. “If the company doesn’t think I’m okay, I won’t be here this evening.”

Rebecca, who has not filmed a new drama since taking a one-year break to spend time with her family last year, stated that TVB has already arranged a project for her, though the details will be announced by the broadcaster later.

“I do understand that this is the media’s job to write about it,” she added, stressing that she was never listed to work on the said drama in the first place.

Although he used to tease fans about a possible romance between him and Rebecca Zhu, Matthew Ho seems to be singing a different tune nowadays when asked about the real score between them.

In an interview with Mingpao recently, the TVB actor hesitated when the topic of Rebecca came up, eventually telling the interviewer, “We are only onscreen partners. And those who know are clear about this. We know what we are.”

He added that he has no thoughts when it comes to his love life at the moment, especially in the past year following the outbreak of COVID-19. Instead, said Matthew, he will focus more on his work.

“I was really immature when I first fell in love. But it made me realise that it has nothing to do with you when people leave you. The experience of failure made me realise that it is much better to talk about relationship and marriage after achieving success in your career,” he said.

Matthew added that he really believes that a man should have success and a sense of security before going around talking about marriage, and that he would rather not be the kind who would cause much difficulties to the woman he loves.

On the other hand, rumours are rife that Rebecca will not be renewing her contract with TVB when it officially expires sometime this year, and will instead focus on her career in mainland China.
