Following the success of Korea’s version of “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo”, it was revealed that Thailand is also adapting the hit Chinese series, “Bu Bu Jing Xin” (aka “Scarlet Heart”).

GMMTV recently announced the list of casts of the upcoming Thai version, which will have Tu Tontawan playing the lead originally portrayed by Cecilia Liu in the mainland series and IU in the Korean version.

The actress is joined by heartthrobs Win Metawin, Nanon Korapat, Tay Tawan, Perth Tanapon, Phuwin Taksakyuen, Fourth Nattawat and Force Jiratchapong.

It is noted that the 2011 Chinese time-travelling series was based on a novel by Tong Hua, about a modern-day woman Zhang Xiao who time-travelled to the Qing Dynasty during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor as her previous incarnate Maertai Ruoxi.

There, she encountered the sons of the Emperor, all who were involved in a battle for the throne. The series also united Cecilia Liu and Nicky Wu, the two who later tied the knot in real life.

Its sequel, “Bu Bu Jing Qing” was released three years later.
