James Ng, the multi-talented singer, actor, and entertainer, brings his signature charisma to the stage. Moon Lau is elated that she is in the top ten of four different categories at the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards.

The actress, who attended the meet and greet session with the media hosted by TVB to promote the upcoming event, shared that she has been nominated in the Most Improved category, Most Popular TV Actress, Most Popular Onscreen Pair, as well as the coveted TV Queen title.

“I am honoured, satisfied, and grateful,” said the actress when asked about the nominations. “It’s very encouraging, though I am more confident on winning Most Improved rather than the rest.”

Moon said that next year would be her tenth year in the industry, and being nominated in so many categories would be a great opportunity for her.

“I have confidence, but I can’t control who wins and all that. The most important thing is to continue to be a good actor,” she added.

It is noted that the actress starred in two dramas this year, “The Beauty of War” and “I’ve Got the Power”. She also made a guest appearance in “The Righteous Fist”.

Following the success of “Sinister Beings”, which became the most watched TVB drama of 2021, producer Lau Ka Ho revealed that he has received the green light from TVB to helm the second season.

As reported on Mingpao, Lau shared the news on Weibo, revealing that the original team will be filming the sequel, which is set to begin production in mid-October.

He also tagged several of the original stars of the drama in the post, including Ruco Chan, Rosina Lam, Mandy Wong, Joman Chiang, Jonathan Cheung, and Moon Lau.

However, netizens noticed that Lau had not tagged Crystal Fung, who played computer hacker Ana in the drama. This sparked speculations that Crystal will not appear in season 2.

In an interaction with fans later on, Lau revealed that while all cast members will play the same roles in the sequel, the cases will be brand new.

To netizens who asked for the show not to have any more plots about cheating and extramarital affairs, following the original series’ plot involving Ana and Chun Sum (the latter played by Ruco Chan), he responded, “We will work hard to do well.”

Rumour has it that TVB is set to produce a remake of the hit Korean series, “Penthouse”.

As reported on On CC, TVB Executive Eric Tsang reportedly has called upon movie director Patrick Kong to helm the said series, which will revolve around revenge and struggles of women in the upper class.

Reportedly, TVB is now looking to cast Jeannie Chan, Moon Lau, Angel Chiang and Jacky Cai to star in the adaptation.

When asked about the rumour, Angel stated that she hasn’t received any notification about the series. However, the actress is elated with the idea that Patrick could be helming the project.

On the other hand, Moon stated that she has heard of the news, but has not been notified as to whether or not she will be a part of it.

“If the news is true, I am looking forward to this collaboration,” she said.

Now in its third season, “Penthouse” tells the story of wealthy families living in the high-class residence Hera Palace and about their children at Cheong-ah Arts School. It stars Lee Ji-Ah, Eugene, Kim So-Yeon and Jo Soo-Min among others.
